Buy To Let Lending Criteria To Tight

April 16, 2010 at 2:06 AM

The National Landlords Association has said its members are really struggling to finance their buy-to-let properties because the banks and building societies are very reluctant to agree any mortgages. They are turning down far more mortgage applications than ever before and people are struggling to release capital by getting a buy to let remortgage.

They claimed that it should come as no surprise that there are not many landlords thinking about taking on new properties.

The NLA representative claimed that tenant demand is already increasing, since many landlords are leaving the market.

The entire mortgage market will grind to a halt if the lending criteria is so tight that no one can get a loan approved.

If you are looking for a buy to let remortgage try here.
